Oh, Hei!
I’m Sarah. I write about the messy, hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking business of being human.
This corner of the internet is equal parts coffee-fueled reflection, emotional chaos, and honesty I probably should’ve kept in a journal.

If you like stories that sting a little and laugh at themselves in the same sentence, you’re in the right place.

Who’s Talking?
The Girl Who Writes Like She’s in a Bar at Midnight
I’m a writer, storyteller, and professional overthinker from the Midwest with roots that stretch from Norwegian winters to Appalachian banjos. I’ve spent most of my twenties trying to make sense of time, how it moves, how it changes us, and why it never asks for permission.
I like to think of my work as a mix of poetic realism and unfiltered truth, the kind of writing that doesn’t hold your hand but buys you a drink.
I write about people, memory, aging, loss, and all the in-between moments that make life quietly extraordinary.
Mostly, I just try to make sense of what it means to grow older without losing your humor, or your heart.

Join the Table
No platitudes. No fake optimism. Just stories about people, places, and the strange beauty of being alive.
If that sounds like your flavor, pull up a chair.
